    Dennis Schmidt gave extensive information about this all volunteer search and rescue team which was formed in 1961.  They are constantly on call and serve throughout the county, searching for and rescuing people from infants to elderly, in all areas including urban and remote, land and water, including swift water and over the edge, snow country and deep mud.   They are always recruiting new members who want to help people and have free time.  There is extensive training for applicants.  Their phone number is (530) 895-6577, their website is www.buttesar.org and for more information check their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BCSAR/ and you may email Dennis at [email protected]  They are a 501- C3 organization and donations are important to them.
