Wine
tasting to benefit
Oroville’s community radio station
KROV 91.1, Oroville’s community radio station, will receive a portion of the proceeds from the next Wonderful World of Wine, presented by Table Mountain Golf Club and Oroville Grocery Outlet on Thurs., May. 16, 5:30pm to 7:30pm, in the Club’s new banquet room, 2700 Oro Dam Blvd. (next to the Oroville Airport).
Enjoy sampling a flight of six wines, specialty cheeses and crackers for $5 per person. The bar and grill will be open, and will feature a special appetizer menu in addition to the regular menu.
KROV is an alternative radio station that covers an area of 65 miles, as a “Bird Flies,” From its Forbestown antenna site. KROV reaches 200,000 listeners throughout Butte County beyond, including Corning, Orland, Williams, Colusa, Lincoln and Marysville. The station is located 2360 Oro Quincy Hwy. in Oroville. Oroville Grocery Outlet wine tasting events raised more than $6,000 in 2012 for various non-profit organizations, including the Barry Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary & Educational Center, Oroville YMCA, P.A.W.S. of Butte County, State Theater Arts Guild (S.T.A.G.E.) and several service clubs.
